Dr Akrem Omar Aldeeb
- Joined LAIP’s Board of Directors in 2026.
- Has more than 15 years’ experience in economics, higher education and academic administration. He is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Economics and Commerce at Al-Asmarya Islamic University.
- Has held several senior academic and administrative roles at the University, including Head of the Department of Economics, Director of the Human Resources Development Office and Registrar General.
- His research covers macroeconomics, monetary and fiscal policy, and economic development. His work has been published in peer-reviewed academic journals, and he has taken part in conferences and academic seminars in Libya and abroad.
- Holds a PhD in Economics from the Libyan Academy. He also holds an English-language certificate from Embassy English School in Brighton, studied English at the American Institute in Madrid, and has completed specialised training in equities and bonds.
